[PROMT] SHARE A STORY ABOUT YOUR BEST LEARNING EXPERIENCE (COULD BE A FORMAL COURSE OR SOMETHING MORE PERSONAL). WHY DID YOU ENJOY IT?

Out of three learning strategies, I would go for Cognitivism. I believe in terms of cognitivism instructors strive to help students integrate new information and abilities into their conceptual frameworks and, as appropriate, adjust their worldviews. Instructors use cognitivism to help students develop their thinking by asking questions or giving them enough tasks to ponder over that knowledge. Instructors can also generate dissonance by using assignments, quizzes, and other methods that demand the learner to study and change in order to maintain.

I would share a story when I had to do calculus 4 at UVic.I was in software engineering before then I switched to computer science in my third year and in computer science we had to do Maths 204[Calculus 4] unlike SENG. When I was in software engineering I completed all the maths courses during my first few semesters and now being in computer science the third year again diving into the maths world was not easy as calculus is not that easy. I was always confident that I am good at maths but I was scared that I won’t be able to do good because I do not remember the basics. Maths requires a lot of practice as depicted in the picture below [1]. You can not do good if you haven’t practiced enough or your basics are not clear.

I was apprehensive at first, but I rationalized that even if I didn’t recall everything from my first year, I could always improve my mathematics abilities. Whatever prior information I had, I was able to uncover all of the tactics by putting in more work and devising a strategy to succeed in that course. One thing that really helped me was that it included a lot of quizzes, assignments, three midterms, and a final, which helped me learn more progressively and find out how to apply everything I learned. I received an A+ in that course because I participated in every quiz, midterm, and assignment, which helped me study more effectively. Ultimately, I was content with my result.
